Very special congrats to our client Hometown Health TV for winning yet another Marcom award.
The September episode on back to school health was a pleasure to create. We had so much fun on set with Lori Esarey from Total Nutrition Therapeutics and look forward to doing it again.
This past week we scrambled and did something that we almost never get to do, create something for us.
We had an opportunity to attend the Leesburg Business Expo with Hometown Health and decided that we should finally spend a bit of time on a demo. It’s a brief highlight of some of our work over the last few years. Thanks go to our clients, we would be lost without all of you. Thanks so much for the continued support.
Special congrats to our client Hometown Health TV, LLC for their continued success as they have nearly doubled their network in the last year. We are honored to provide production services for their programming and website.
Twenty on board, five to go. The Villages and Lake County, Florida area residents can now get valuable insight into Assisted Living care for seniors and pain management options with the recent addition of Waterman Village and Central Florida Pain Management to the Hometown Health network (http://www.yourhometownhealth.com).
With the addition of these two health and medical providers, the award winning video program is nearly at capacity for medical categories.
Locally produced Hometown Health offers news and insight from Lake County and The Villages area medical experts participating in this specialty-exclusive network of professionals. The program is updated monthly with new health and medical content, featuring the local professionals. In addition to the video programming, the content is available at YourHometownHealth.com.
Well it has been a great couple of months here at The Imagination Shop.
We met some wonderful people down at the Disney Entrepeneur Center while taking a UCF Business Incubation class. We learned tons about how to help grow the business and were able to pitch some of our new product ideas to try them out. It was a great experience overall.
We worked with a fantastic new client to create a rocking new website for them to reach their fans and clients. Special thanks to Gerry Seader from Rocky and the Rollers for putting his image in our hands, we hope that rockyandtherollers.com will help bring them even more success.
And there’s more exciting things in the future as we begin talking about video projects that we will be “rolling” out next year.
All this AND we moved, again. But, now we have a nice new edit suite for the Avid and some space for meeting with our awesome clients. Plus, our neighbors are so great that it’s like a home away from home.
We are all pumped up with creativity and excitement, and always have room for more fantastic clients. We happen to think that we have the best ones! Stop in and join the family.
Wow, this summer is flying right by us this year. This month has been particularly crazy, but as we like to say “good crazy”. Our office moving is not over as we’ve been working on finding something a little larger to fit our growth. So, in the next few weeks we’ll be doubling our space. It will be nice to have the space for meetings, editing and designing at the same time!
Rocky and the Rollers website build is starting to really get exciting as the new site takes on a different life. Happy clients and inspired designers make for an awesome team.
Hometown Health is growing by leaps and bounds and has lots of new things in store for the future. Our ongoing commitment to providing our clients with the highest level of service has been noticed all over Florida.
The Imagination Shop’s growth has been strengthened even further this past month through the help of the UCF Incubator Program and the Disney Entrepreneur Center as we attended an Excellence in Entrepreneurship 4 week class. Thanks so much for all involved. It was a pleasure meeting so many wonderful people and hope to continue those new found relationships. We learned quite a bit and are even more motivated for continued success.
And it’s been great working with some old friends again. Having been there ourselves, we just love supporting the local freelance market but it’s especially nice when you get to work with amazing individuals. A very special shout out to Doug Hamilton who’s outstanding camera work and knowledge of his craft always makes for a successful event.
The months ahead look to be just as jammed pack and we are ready for it. Mostly because of the unbelievable support of one Cassie Russo, who’s help in the past months has been nothing short of incredible. We can’t thank her enough.
So what’s next? You’ll just have to use your Imagination!
Today one of our clients brought us a clip of a live acoustic performance that they wanted to put on their website. We thought this clip deserved some youtube attention so we popped online to add it. We LOVE the truly out of the box thinking that went into this set.
We were on location today at Advanced Nursing Concept’s corporate offices with our client Hometown Health TV.
A very big thanks to Rod Erb, Christie Magnifico, Jennifer Thomas-Moore and the entire staff for making us feel so welcome. It is very easy to see why they have achieved such amazing success in all that they do. Next month’s HHTV will reveal some exciting things that have just rolled in to help them serve their customers in a whole new way.
A brief history of Twitter
Initially inspired by the concept of an ‘away-message’ merged with the freedom and mobility of SMS, Twitter began as an experiment in 2006. When value as an instant communication network during shared events like earthquakes, conferences, and festivals emerged, Twitter began to grow—Twitter, Inc. was founded in 2007. Today, Twitter is a privately funded company based in San Francisco, CA.
Basically, they found out what I’ve been saying for years, communication is key. And the ability to do it on a mass scale, to “reach” someone anywhere in the world is pretty amazing. I personally love it that everyday I have mini conversations with people from different countries. It keeps us honest, human. It challenges us to “get out there”.
What’s up with the name?
Twittering is the sound birds make when they communicate with each other—an apt description of the conversations here. As it turns out, because Twitter provides people with real-time public information, it also helps groups of people mimic the effortless way a flock of birds move in unison.
A key benefit
One of Twitter’s key benefits is that it gives you the chance to communicate casually with customers on their terms, creating friendly relationships along the way—tough for corporations to do in most other mediums.
This is HUGE. By far the most important aspect of twitter is the relationships that you’ll build. It is the perfect way to put a “familiar face” out there for your company. People want to interact with people, not companies. It is essential to “be yourself” and not just spout out company rhetoric. Sure, throwing in some choice information, letting others know what’s happening in the company and retweeting information is great. But, the fact that you are “talking” to people will do more than anything else to help you be successful.
SMS (i.e., texting on your phone) limits each message to 160 characters. Twitter takes that limit and reserves 20 characters for your username, leaving you 140 characters to play with. That’s how it started and we’ve stuck with it!
It is the way it is. Just get over it and move on. If nothing else it will force you to get more in touch with your creative side.
Now, get out there and start tweeting. Or more importantly, building that relationship with your customers. You can find me, Shannon @imaginif and the company twitter @ImaginationTV which is mostly updated by Dan. As you’ll quickly tell, I am the more, shall we say, active twitter user.
Well, it was an exciting day yesterday for Shannon, as she was featured in an online twitter blog. #fastfriday tweeps
It was quite the honor to be included among such great twitter users.
Here’s a little bit about the infamous @GCGeek
Mike Morucci
Ellicott City, Maryland, United States
I’m a humor writer and very active on twitter (@GCGeek). I hope you find my material funny and insightful. I’m also studying improvisation, and hard at work on my first script. I really appreciate your visit and hope you return! I appreciate your comments! Let us know what’s on your mind! And by "us" of course I mean "me". <-Shit. Does the period go inside the quotes? I think if it’s an actual quote, which it isn’t, even though it is me "saying" it. Where’s my Chicago Manual of Style?
Shannon has been actively using Twitter for about a year now, with activity increasing in the last six months. It is a great way to meet others, share ideas and in general be a small part of a much larger picture. The game of life.
We are very excited to begin work for our latest client Rocky and the Rollers on a brand new website. You’ll have to wait a bit to see what music we make together but we all appreciate your patience during this transition.
Rock On!
